Calling all East Midlands performers – Auditions for Splash!
Diverse City & Extraordinary Bodies are making a new touring outdoor show in the East Midlands called Splash! We are looking for D/deaf, disabled, learning disabled and Black and Asian Minority Ethnic Performers. We are very interested in circus artists, actors and dancers especially those who live or work in the East Midlands. Splash! will be an imaginative, accessible outdoor show that will tour to Lincoln, Derby, Northampton, Nottingham and Leicester in summer 2019.
Jamie Beddard, Diverse City’s Joint Artistic Director and Co-Director for Splash!, said:
“We’re really excited to be working in the East Midlands and finding new Deaf & disabled artists. It’s a great project and we intend on making a big Splash!“
Peter Knott, Area Director, Arts Council England, stated that through Splash!:
“We want to encourage everyone to be inspired by great art, and creating and touring a project like this helps make art and culture available to everyone… We can’t wait to see some of the exciting work Splash! will create around the waterways, celebrating the people and stories that make the East Midlands a diverse and unique place to live.”

Splash! is commissioned by Midlands charity The Mighty Creatives and the Splash! consortium. The project is inspired by the waterways of the East Midlands and will bring communities on the creative fringes into the swim.
